Vestiges - The Descent Of Man

Vestiges is a trio from the U.S.A. and The Descent Of Man is their debut album. This album begins quietly with a nice intro. The song after that begins also quietly and suddenly hell breaks loose! A mix of Hardcore, Black Metal, Crust, Screamo and Post-Rock influences hits you right in your face!
This album contains seven tracks (Intro, song I till V and Outro) that are filled with anger and despair. These guys did an excellent job with this album. The sound is right and all instruments are in balance. The vocals are making almost me afraid. This guy has an awesome throat. This voice goes truly through your bones!
Vestiges has released this impressive album at the tenth day of the tenth month in year ten and it is an display of heaviness, brutality and also sadness.

Voivod - Dimension Hatröss

Voivod was a Thrash Metal band from Quebec, Canada. Dimension Hatröss was their fourth album and in my opinion the best one! With this album Voivod was more experimental and even psychedelic.
My favorite songs of Dimension Hatröss are: Experiment, Technocratic Manipulators, Macrosolutions To Megaproblems and Psychic Vacuum.
After Dimension Hatröss, Voivod made several album until guitar player Denis "Piggy" D'Amour died of cancer in 2005.

Bilox - World War III

Bilox was a Brutal Death metal band from The Hague, Holland. This band had a short existence from 2002 till 2004. World War III was their only release. This album is somehow strange, almost all the songs are twice on this album. There are versions of the songs with or without samples. I've never seen such thing! Still, World War III is a recommendable Death Metal album!
It's hard to find information about Bilox. It's not much, but you can read something here.

Dismember - Death Metal

Entombed and Dismember are the standard bearers of the Stockholm Death Metal scene. Where Entombed did change their sound more towards the Death 'n' Roll, Dismember sticked to their original sound. Their album called Death Metal from 1997 does do justice to the title. The album contains twelve awesome tracks. My favorite songs are Trendkiller and Let The Napalm Rain. There is only one point of criticism: The album does not blast from my speakers, it is recorded or mixed too soft. I did expect more of the producing work of Fred Estby. Still it is a great album!

Coram Lethe - ....A Splendid Chaos

Fantastic melodic Death/Thrash from Italy, with some technical aspects.

The vocals are mostly screams, combined with grunts. The vocalist puts a lot of emotions in the way he sings; you can feel his agony and anger!

At War - Infidel

At War is a Thrash/Death band from Virginia Beach, U.S.A. This band was formed in 1983 and released their full-length album in 1986. The album Infidel is their third album, so you can say At War is not such a productive band. Infidel is considered an average album. I disagree with that statement. I think it is a great album. It contain nine awesome songs about war (One of my favorite themes).
Infidel does not deserve the prize for originality, but it is a great album by a first class band!

Eat The Living - BRAAIIINS

Eat The Living is a Death/Grind band from Ventura, California. Their music is also larded with extreme Metal styles like Thrash, Black, Doom, Crust and Punk. The female singer Jenocide has an awesome voice. The songs on the album BRAAIIINS are pretty decent. The artwork looks like a promotion for a zombie horror b-movie.

Bonded By Blood - Feed The Beast

Bonded By Blood is not only the title of the first Exodus album, it is also the name of an awesome Thrash Metal band from Pomona, California.
Feed The Beast is their full-length debut album. Before this album Bonded By Blood released the Extinguish The Weak EP.
Bonded By Blood plays some fast Thrash Metal with at times hysterical vocals.
Next month Bonded By Blood will release their new album Exiled To Earth. I'm looking forward to that album!

Pollution - Modern Warfare

Pollution is a Thrash Metal band from Serbia. Their debut album Modern Warfare is an awesome one that sounds very old school. The singer Bane does remind me a lot of Steve Souza from Exodus and Blaine from The Accused. In my opinion Pollution is a great promise for the future!

Phazm - Antebellum Death 'n' Roll

Phazmis a so called Death 'n' Roll band from France. Death 'n' Roll is a term for the combination of Death Metal and Rock 'n' Roll. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this music style is invented with the Entombed album To Ride, Shoot Straight And Speak The Truth! This album is definitely my favorite release ever!!!
Now back to Phazm. This band is influenced by weed and alcohol. Phazm has released three albums so far. Antebellum Death 'n' Roll is their second one and it is awesome. It contains twelve great Death 'n' Roll tracks that will kick your ass!

Gorefest - Mindloss

And another great Dutch Death Metal band!

This is their first album, most of the songs are slow and heavy with a deep grunt. The lyrics are typical Death Metal for the most part; about necrophilia and mutilated bodys.... But some songs have some socialy criticism in it aswell. At the second album, False, they have entirely skipped the 'gorey' lyrics and are focused on the social criticism aspect.

Necrophagia - Season Of The Dead

Season Of The Dead is the first album of the U.S. band Necrophagia. This band combines Death and Black Metal with Punk and Hardcore. There's even a pinch of Grindcore. The result is an album with a unique sound. The album starts with a long and haunting intro before the awesome song Forbidden Pleasures sets in. The singer Killjoy has a great voice, it is between death and black. I don't think I ever heard an album like this in these days.

Death Angel - Frolic Through The Park

Death Angel is a Thrash Metal band from the famous Bay Area scene. The first album THe Ultra Violence was already a classic, but I prefer the second album Frolic Through The Park a bit more. Death Angel has always sounded different then the average Thrash Metal band. Death Angel had more room for musical experiments. My favorite songs of this album are Bored and Confused.
